Cyber Real Estate Developer
Hello, my name is Chuck Jines and I’m a retired roofer turned full time Blogger.
Back in late 2003 I began blogging about politics and political philosophy. At the time I had no idea that political blogging would turn into a new career as a small business web developer and marketer.
The fist business website that I built was for my own roof repair business here in Chicago. Then I built a website for my wife's counseling business. From there things just grew, and I now have 22 of my own websites, and also provide webmaster services for other businesses.
I have many interests including politics, philosophy, history, theology, music, and most recently taking photographs of Chicago.
As well as being a working man, I am also self-educated and have had a life-long passion for reading and learning. I grew up in a political family, so to me politics and philosophy are a part of life just like eating and sleeping.

This is one of Darren Rowse recommendations as well, to take some time every few weeks to link up internally. Good job on the vid. I keep saying I'm going to do one of those some day.

Chuck,
I've never heard of doing this. Maybe I don't need to join Darren's forum after all.

I'll tell ya, there are so many things to join, buy, follow, hook up….. too many things! The truth is, applying basic SEO and original content is where it is at. Just about all you need to know for that is on this site right now.
No joke! The main thing is spending more time applying these things rather than joining more and more groups, more and more tools and on and on. I'm not saying you should not join Darren's forum, what I'm saying is pick three places to 'hang out" with bloggers and apply the basic SEO that you already know about to your original, useful, and good content that you have now.
You could spend the next week doing nothing but working on your site. No comments, no new posts, no forums!
What I'm trying to say is that one of the BIG temptations is to get distracted on-line. I do it all the time and have to pull myself back to the task at hand. I think you have a major project going on now? How is that going? "-)

Chuck,
Can you explain the term anchor text when you get a chance? Is that the same as keywords and/or phrases?
